The Gender-Inclusive, Community-Driven Local Climate Action Plan in Raigad is a landmark decolonial initiative being developed in synergy with local government institutions and the State Climate Action Cell (SCAC), Maharashtra 

It brings together local communities, women’s collectives, tribal groups, Community Based Organisations (CBOs) ,  and governance institutions to co-design climate solutions. These community-led strategies are then formally integrated into official Local Government Institution (LGI) frameworks, including the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP).

Anchored in 5As—Academicians, Administrators, Activists, Artists, and Amplifiers (Media)—the project localises the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through participatory planning; integrates the Conference of Panchayats (CoP) framework to align local voices with global climate dialogues; and ensures marginalised communities are co-authors of climate solutions, which are rooted in equity, justice, and inclusivity.
